Islamabad/Beijing, 23 February 2023 (TDI): Alliance of China-Pakistan Research Centres has been formed to facilitate the joint collaboration and understanding between Chinese and Pakistani academic institutions focusing on CPEC, BRI, Pakistan, and China Studies from both sides.

Centre for BRI and China Studies- Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies and Pakistan Research Center, Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, China has established the Alliance of China-Pakistan Research Centers  to facilitate greater collaboration and understanding between Pakistani and Chinese academic institutions. This Alliance would focus on research collaboration in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and China-Pakistan studies.

This Alliance aims to build a strong understanding between academic fraternities in both countries and create a roadmap for future research and knowledge collaboration, hence building stronger Pakistan-China ties.

The academic community in Pakistan and China can play a vital role in strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two countries. The two brotherly nations can build stronger ties by engaging in research, training, and fostering an environment of understanding and compassion.

The Alliance aims to engage the Directors of the Centres on CPEC, BRI, and China and Pakistan Studies members from China and Pakistan, who would work together to develop research projects, regularly offer recommendations, and assist governments and civil society on how to address regional and international challenges.

This platform can strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and China by facilitating the exchange of research ideas, collaboration on research projects, and joint publications.

The Alliance is also aimed at a focused and collaborative environment for academics from both countries to work together towards common goals, ultimately benefiting the people of both nations. Through exchanging knowledge and expertise, the Alliance aims to contribute to the continued development of China-Pakistan relations, which will ultimately benefit both nations and the wider region.
