Ashraf Ghani has fleed to Tajikistan in the afternoon, following Taliban entrance in the capital. Abdullah Abdullah and Hamid Karzai coordinated to form a Coordinating Council with the Emir of Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan Gulbuddin Hekmatyar to control the disorder in the country. The Coordinating Council aims at assisting the peaceful transfer of power. Also, the Council has appealed to forces of both sides: Afghan security forces and TTA forces, to restrain from their irrelevant activities in the city and maintain peace.
