Islamabad, 21 December 2021 (TDI): After the fabulous and successful session of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of OIC, Malaysian Foreign Minister, Saifuddin Abdullah met Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.

The 17th Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was to discuss the humanitarian crisis of Afghanistan as well as to enlist help from the international community for the country.

He commended the Pakistani leaderships’ endeavor on the subject issue. On showing pensive nuance for Afghanistan, Pakistan offered the land passage for Malaysian NGOs headed for Afghanistan.

In this regard, unanimous and mutual collaboration for humanitarian assistance has also been discussed between both excellencies. Furthermore, for Pak – Malaysian robust relations and cooperation in the diverse fields i.e. trade, tourism, people to people contact and the exchange of manpower have been reiterated in the official meeting as well.

Meeting with Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan

Later on, the Malaysian Foreign Minister also met the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Fawad Chaudhry. During the meeting, the two agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in Drama, Film, and Media Industry by exchanging the media delegations and expertise of the film and drama industries of both states.

In this regard, Minister Fawad Chaudhry showed his propensity to Saifuddin Abdullah that Pakistani production may also be shown to the Malaysian People in translation. Both the Ministers also exchanged their views on the subject issue of Afghanistan as a matter of mutual interest.

It was mutually agreed between the two that the international community must come forward to bring Afghanistan out of the dire situation and the humanitarian crisis.
