Government of Pakistan celebrates World Tourism day

Islamabad, 27 September 2021 (TDI): Government of Pakistan celebrates World Tourism Day. ‘World Tourism Day’ which is celebrated each year on 27th September. This day observes the importance related to awareness of social, political, and cultural value of Tourism around the world.

Tourism is also vital for world’s economic sector. World Tourism Organization has designated World Tourism Day as a day to focus on ‘Tourism for inclusive growth’.

Pakistan which is home to some of the world’s most important heritage sites, beautiful landscapes, and stunning scenery. Pakistan is famous all around the world for its beautiful natural sites and mountainous regions.

On the occasion of Tourism Day, President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi said: ‘’Pakistan is blessed with tremendous potential of tourism in all four provinces including AJ&K and Gilgit Baltistan, with variety of socio-cultural diversity’’.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan says that Pakistan has great potential to attract tourists from around the world.
