18 Including 6 UN Officials Killed in Israeli Strikes on Gaza

-

Gaza City: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that at least six of its staff members were killed in two separate Israeli strikes on a school in central Gaza.

This incident marks the deadliest attack on UNRWA staff in a single event since the start of the conflict.

The UNRWA school, which has been struck multiple times since the war began, currently shelters over 12,000 displaced individuals, including many children and women.

According to local officials, the Israeli assault resulted in approximately 18 fatalities, including the UNRWA staff members.

Truce Negotiations

In parallel, Hamas has reiterated its readiness to implement an “immediate” truce with Israel based on a prior US proposal, without additional conditions.

Hamas officials met with mediators including Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in Doha to discuss recent developments.

However, as of now, the discussions have yet to produce an agreement to end the ongoing conflict, which has lasted for 11 months.

CIA Director William Burns, the chief US negotiator, indicated that a more detailed truce proposal is expected soon.
