Rawalpindi, 15 March 2022 (TDI): Isphanyar Bhandara, the Chairman of Murree Brewery Company, stated that sports builds character and personality in young people. Moreover, it strengthens their mental abilities.

The remarks were made by the Chairman during the prize distribution ceremony of the 118th MP Bhandara Memorial Polo Cup in Rawalpindi. Isphanyar Bhandara enunciated whilst talking to reporters that sports helps in generating the mental and physical abilities of the youth.

Hence, sports is very important to build their character and inculcate patience as well as courage in their personalities. Subsequently, self-confidence is instilled in a person that plays an important role in the development of the country.

Chairman of Murree Brewery Company further underscored that the sportsmen and sportswomen are assets of the nation as they play an important role in promoting sports for building a healthy society.

The Final match of the 118th MP Bhandara Memorial Polo Cup was held in Rawalpindi. Six teams participated in the pilot event. The final faceoff was between FC KPK Team and PAF team.

FC KPK Team scored 9 goals against the PAF team to achieve victory. The Ambassador of Czech Republic to Pakistan, Tomas Swetanka attended the event as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of the Murree Brewery team.

Furthermore, Ambassador Tomas Swetanka lauded the efforts adopted by Murre Brewery to promote sports event. The inaugural M.P. Bhandara Memorial Polo tournament was held in 1904 and is organized almost every year.

He is an Ex-Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan on seat reserved for Minorities from 2013 to 2018. Presently he is the President of Rawalpindi Parsi Anjuman and represents and helps Minority communities of Pakistan; Parsi, Sikhs, Baha’is, Buddhists, Kalash.
