Zimbabwe receives Covid-19 vaccines from China

Beijing, 14 September 2021 (TDI): New vaccine jabs have arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe from China today amid the rise of the fourth wave of COVID-19. China and Zimbabwe have been working together to fight against the pandemic. Earlier this year Zimbabwe has been receiving a lot of vaccines and other China-aid which has reinforced the cooperation between the two states.

Zimbabwe is battling against Covid-19 recently with a surge in the pandemic. This has made the economic conditions of the country even worse. China has replenished the state with inestimable resources mainly on the account of economic and vaccine donations. Zimbabwe is an important part of BRI and the Silk Road. With the surge in COVID-19 fourth wave, the project might face challenges in the country. Zimbabwe is also receiving vaccine jabs from the USA through COVAX.
