Distrito Nacional, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Chinese Ambassador to the Dominica Republic, Zhang Run, mentioned the publication of his speech in the local newspaper which he gave on the virtual celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of China, entitled “China and the Dominican Republic: With Open Arms”, via Twitter, on September 25.
Zhang said that the 72 years that have passed since the founding of the People’s Republic of China have been a feat of heroic struggles that saw the country overcome thousands of obstacles and setbacks to improve the living conditions of its citizens.

He further added the country is the people, and the people are their country. Yet, people’s lives, in general, are becoming more prosperous, the sense of gain, happiness, and security is steadily increasing, and the rights to survival and development are effectively guaranteed. All this means not only a success for China but also a contribution to the development and human rights of all mankind.
With the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people have launched a new campaign for the comprehensive construction of a strong modern socialist country. China is always striving to defend the common values of all mankind – peace, development, equality, justice, democracy, and freedom – and promote the building of the community of a shared future.
He said in his keynote speech that both countries’ diplomatic relations were established in accordance with the fundamental interests and over the past three years, both sides have achieved many successes. So, let’s move forward and give strength to our beloved ones so that the world can prosper.
