Amman, 8 August 2022 (TDI): Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, arrived in Jordan, on an official visit on Sunday.

He was received at Queen Alia International Airport by Secretary General of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hazem Al-Khatib.
Yemen’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan, Ali Ahmed Al-Omrani, and several members of Yemen’s diplomatic mission in Amman were present to receive him.
The Foreign Minister is accompanied by a Yemeni delegation of senior government officials. Yemeni Foreign Minister will visit the capital of Jordan, Amman, during his visit.
Agenda of the visit
During the visit, Minister Ahmed Awad will hold a session of talks with his counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, Dr. Ayman Safadi.
The dialogue between both ministers would encompass strengthening bilateral relations and coordination.
Furthermore, extensive discussions on ways to enhance prospects for cooperation between the two countries, and efforts to end the Yemeni crisis would be carried out.
On the sidelines of the visit, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak will hold several meetings with Jordanian officials. He will inform them of the latest developments in Yemen.
MoU between Jordan and Yemen
The Foreign Ministers of Jordan and Yemen signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for political consultation and strengthening bilateral relations on Monday.
The MoU is an effort to raise the level of cooperation and coordination on issues of common interest.

Jordan on Recent Developments in Yemen
Jordan has welcomed the renewal of a truce between the conflicting parties in Yemen for another two months.
