Sana’a, 5 October 2021 (TDI): Yemen’s Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights condemned the persistent violations by the Houthis. The Yemeni government denunciated the recent missile attack by the Houthis on the civilian neighborhood which resulted in 29 casualties, so far. The target of the assault was the Marib Governorate.
The Legal Affairs Ministry invoked the international community to intervene for the restoration of peace in the country. The Ministry called on the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of United Nations, and all international entities, as well as the organizations, concerned with human rights, to work swiftly to put an end to the widespread targeting of civilians in Marib.
Yemen has been experiencing the largest humanitarian crisis in the contemporary world. The conflict in Yemen escalated since 2015 and has brought about violations against International Humanitarian laws and International Human Rights laws.
