WHO appreciates Pakistan’s assistance to Afghanistan

-

Geneva, 28 August 2021 (TDI): Regional Emergency Director of WHO, Dr. Rick Brennan stated that Pakistan is playing a significant role in providing medical assistance to Afghanistan with collaboration of World Health Organization (WHO).

As the situation of Kabul airport is crippling every day, the domestic situation of Afghanistan is chaotic. Pakistan is still supporting WHO to provide humanitarian supplies into Afghanistan upon moral grounds. The Regional Director highlighted that Pakistan is helping WHO via air routes not only for Kabul but also other main cities e.g. Maze Sharif and Kandahar etc.

WHO appreciated Pakistan for exploring more resources with its collaboration as the stocks were not enough to deal with every inch of needs in such tough times.
