California (TDI): For those using Android beta, WhatsApp has released a new feature that makes community leadership transfer easier.
In the past, changing control of a WhatsApp community required a laborious process that involved starting a new community and requesting users to migrate.
This frequently resulted in confusion and the possible loss of users.
Community owners are now able to transfer leadership more effectively thanks to this new functionality.
The “Assign new owner” button has been added to the community settings of WhatsApp beta version 2.24.19.34.
Process of Leadership Transfer
With just a few clicks, the existing owner can use this function to name a new community leader and grant full admin powers to that person.
After the completion of the leadership transfer, the original owner will no longer be able to decide on important matters like turning off the community or limiting the ability of the new owner to make modifications.
They will still be able to delete messages and help with community administration, among other administrative functions.

The purpose of this upgrade is to make community management easier and to facilitate a more seamless transfer of leadership positions inside WhatsApp groups.
A restricted group of beta testers who downloaded the WhatsApp beta app from the Google Play Store are currently allowed to access the feature.
WhatsApp is working on other improvements in addition to the ownership transfer feature.
A function to enable faster additions of individuals or groups to chat lists is being developed by the messaging platform.

Moreover, the group call features—which allow administrators to create call links straight from group chats—are being improved.
To help users find particular chats or groups more easily, WhatsApp is also launching a custom list option that will show up at the top of chat lists.
