Beijing, 9 January 2024 (TDI)– Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China’s diplomacy in 2023 has been a year of discovery and achievement, listing six highlights.

While speaking at a Seminar in Beijing on China’s Foreign Relations and the International Situation, Foreign Minister Wang highlighted China’s diplomatic endeavors and the evolving global landscape in 2023.

Foreign Minister Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized that these achievements underscore China’s growing international influence, leadership in initiating new global movements, and ethical appeal in the new era.

The highlights of 2023 reflect China’s unique approach, manner, and spirit in international relations, marking a significant year in the nation’s diplomatic history.

At the Beijing seminar on China’s Foreign Relations and the International Situation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi outlined China’s diplomatic work in 2023 in six aspects.

From forging new heights in major-country relations with Chinese features to facilitating the resumption of diplomatic ties between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

From welcoming new members to BRICS to strengthening ties with Central Asian nations. China’s efforts in its relations with other countries have been characterized by collaboration.

Wang Yi highlighted that China’s head-of-state diplomacy has been very effective, reaching new heights in major-country diplomacy with Chinese features.
