Pretoria, 17 September 2021 (TDI): A remarkable signing ceremony of the UN in South Africa and the GovtChat Organization took place today. The format of the signing ceremony was Virtual.
Mr. Eldrid Jordaan, CEO-Founder of GovtChat & Nardos Bekele-Thomas Head of UN in South Africa, signed the contract. Both the parties signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a Virtual Meeting.
GovtChat organization is South Africa’s official citizen engagement platform. The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs developed the Initiative.
The agreement is designed to strengthen the partnership between United Nations in South Africa and the GovtChat organization.
Mr. Eldrid Jordaan, CEO-Founder of GovtChat, believes that the partnership will help create a new social compact.
The partnership will strengthen the work of the public service sector. The development of a new social compact will strategize the capacity planning, reporting & response to gender-based violence in South Africa.
