Vice President of EU met with Foreign Minister of Turkey

New York, 24 September 2021 (TDI): The High Representative/Vice President of European Commission Josep Borell met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. VP Borell expressed his pleasure at seeing FM Çavuşoğlu on the sidelines of the 76th United Nations General Assembly. The two discussed issues on the European Union’s relationship with Turkey, the Cyprus issue, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, and Afghanistan. Close collaboration and coordination, according to VP Borell, are essential.

The 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 76) started on 14 September 2021. The General Debate will be held from 21 September 2021 to 27 September 2021, including 25 September 2021. The United Nation is an international organization dedicated to preserving international peace and security, establishing cordial relations among nations, and advancing social progress, higher living standards, and human rights, It was formed in 1945.
