Port Vila, 30 October 2021 (TDI): Australia has sent 20,000 more vaccine doses to Vanuatu on Friday, Australian High commissioner to the country told this morning.
Vanuatu is a South Pacific Ocean country made up of approximately 80 islands with an area of 1,300 kilometers.

The donated vaccine doses reached the figure of 70,000 after the lot arrived in South Pacific country. Australia provided the vaccines to Vanuatu under the initiative to support partner countries through ‘Partnerships for Recovery’.
In a Tweet, Australian High Commissioner to Vanuatu, Sarah de Zoeten noted that the doses will help Ministry of Health of Vanuatu to tackle Covid-19 Pandemic in the country.
Earlier, Australia also sent aid and vaccine doses to the the Pacific nations including Papua New Guinea.
