Ambassador of Iraq to Lebanon met Executive Secretary of ESCWA


Beirut, 30 October 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of Iraq to Lebanon, Haider Shaya Al-Barrak, met Rola Dashti, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

The ESCWA headquarters in Beirut held the meeting on Friday, 29 October 2021. The meeting focused at the importance of Iraq and Lebanon in terms of strategic, economic, and bilateral relations.


The meeting’s main objective was to overcome the stress and build secure relationships and mechanisms.

The Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon added that the relations between the two countries should provide support and humanitarian help to both nations.

The attendees of the meeting focused on enhanced economic and social consultations between the two sides.
