-

Tashkent (TDI): In a significant move to bolster connectivity with Europe, Uzbekistan has reopened a reconstructed 240-kilometer section of the Kungrad-Beineu highway, which stretches from Karakalpakstan in northwestern Uzbekistan to the Kazakh border.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the upgraded route will cut international transport distances across Uzbekistan by 1,000 kilometers and reduce costs by 25 percent.

“This road will become a vital logistics link, connecting Uzbekistan with European markets through the Caspian and Black Sea ports,” Mirziyoyev remarked.
