E-Government Survey

UN issued a report on the 12th edition of the E-Government Survey 2022. The survey evaluated the calculation of the digital government landscape across all 193 Member States of the UN.

The conductors utilized primary and secondary data to finalize the rank of each Member State. E-Government Development Index (EGDI), is designed to combine both types of data.

Data Collection and Compilation

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs collected and owned the primary data. The secondary data is composed of the information gathered from other UN agencies.

After compilation, the data is analyzed in a global and regional context. The importance of inclusion in a hybrid digital society must be considered in this regard.

Another section of the report is a study of local e-government development based on the UN Local Online Service Index (LOSI).

The last section consisted of the concluding chapter. It explored the trends and advances of digital government in the future.

In this era of digitalization, the significance of E-government cannot be overlooked. The continuous evaluation of the UN will encourage the states to make new explorations to promote E-Governance.
