Cairo, 19 October 2021 (TDI): The USA delivered another tranche of the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine to Egypt yesterday. The USA delivered 1.6 million Pfizer vaccine doses to Egypt.
The U.S State Department announced yesterday that they are proud to deliver additional vaccine doses to the people of Egypt.

The U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Jonathan R. Cohen received the second delivery of Covid-19 vaccines to Egypt. Speaking at the arrival ceremony, Ambassador Cohen said that he is pleased to receive the second shipment of vaccine doses. He highlighted that these vaccine deliveries reflect the US’ commitment and support to Egypt in these testing times.
According to the U.S Embassy in Egypt, these vaccine shipments are part of the U.S 500-million-dose donation to African states. The Embassy also reported that the vaccine donation is made under the COVAX initiative in collaboration with the African Union.
The first shipment of Covid-19 vaccine doses arrived last month in Egypt. The U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Nicole Shampaine and Assistant Minister of Health of Egypt Dr. Mohamed Hassany received the first shipment of vaccine delivery from the US. US is helping to provide vaccine to the needy countries under the COVAX program.
