US vaccine donation reaches Pakistan

Islamabad, 26 August 2021 (TDI): The US is sending 5.5 million doses of the Moderna vaccine to Pakistan to support its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

This morning, along with 5.5 million doses of Moderna, the US Embassy in Islamabad also confirmed the delivery of 3.7 million doses of Pfizer to Pakistan. It will be the third tranche of the Pfizer vaccine that will help Pakistan curb the devastating spread of the virus. Until now, the US has provided Pakistan with about $63 million as assistance to fight COVID-19.
