Port-au-Prince, 18 August 2021 (TDI): On 17 August 2021, the US Embassy Haiti confirmed that the US Southern Command under the Department of Defense has sent eight helicopters of relief goods to Haiti.
In response to the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, the US Defense Department has responded by sending humanitarian aid to the affected areas. The USAID earthquake response personnel were also to reach Haiti along with the supplies.
