Islamabad (TDI): The US Embassy in Islamabad issued a travel advisory on Wednesday, citing threats from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) against Faisal Mosque.
In a statement, the Embassy’s Regional Security Office announced a travel restriction for American employees, barring them from visiting the Faisal Mosque area until further notice.
The security alert specifically mentions the potential risk of a terrorist attack and advises US citizens to avoid the location.

In addition to the travel warning, the Embassy urged both its staff and US nationals to remain vigilant about their personal security.
It advised monitoring local media for updates and carrying identification documents while traveling.

The US Embassy has also provided a special contact number for US nationals in case of an emergency.
