Rawalpindi (TDI): U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Andrew Baker on Monday stressed the importance of strengthening business ties between Pakistan and the United States.
He made these remarks while addressing a conference organized by the Pak America Business Forum and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In his address, Baker highlighted how the U.S. Mission supports investment in Pakistan through diplomacy and policy advocacy. He noted that Pakistan’s ongoing structural economic reforms could pave the way for a more prosperous future.
“The United States is Pakistan’s largest export market, accounting for 16% of Pakistan’s global exports,” the ambassador said. Baker said Pakistan’s exports to the U.S. have grown significantly over the past decade, describing this as evidence of a robust economic partnership.
