US Consulate General Official in Jolta motorcycle launching

Lahore, 19 January 2022 (TDI): Governor Mohammad Sarwar invited the representatives of the United States Consulate General of Lahore to attend the launching of the Jolta motorcycle. The latter is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a high technology procedure. 

Along these lines, the new motorcycle is an electric vehicle that will first start in Punjab. It s one of the most populous provinces of Pakistan and has heavy traffic. Therefore, in the future, Pakistan will enjoy better infrastructures and the company its expansion in the country. 

Jolta factory 

Jolta Factory or Jolta Electric is an Electric Vehicle (EV) technology company. It is the Auj Technology PVT.LTD initiated Jolta electric is a platform that focuses on providing an eco-friendly environment for Pakistan.

Indeed, the company aims to provide more electric vehicles in the automobile industry. That is why it designed a high technology process to produce two, three, or four-wheelers vehicles effectively. 

That is how it has been in the market for five years and is the only authorized company to provide electric vehicles in Pakistan. 

Finally, the company works with the Ministry committee of the Climate Change of Pakistan, by sharing innovative ideas that they develop in their company. 

US representation in Lahore

On the other hand, the US Consulate General in Lahore is the entity that represents the States in the Province of Punjab in Pakistan. It works under the authority of the US ambassador in Islamabad. In addition to that, the US Department of Commerce is located in Lahore too. 

In this regard, the US consulate works in 5 specific areas. First, the Consul General is led by actual Consulate General William Makaneole whose mandate started in August 2021. In this line, this area aims to interact with official actions and represents the US in Punjab. 

Second, the Public Affairs area aims to strengthen people-to-people ties between the US and Punjab People. This area is responsible for University Partnership, English learning, Cultural preservation, exchange program, and entrepreneurship activities. 

Thrid, US citizen’s services has as the main goal serving the American citizens that live in Lahore. Fourth, the Emergency services aim to respond or act in unpredicted situations. Fifth and not least, Commerce in Punjab deals with economic actions that the US government or particulars can do in Lahore. 

In brief, the United States and Pakistan share cordial diplomatic relations. Both countries share similar interests in democracy, peace, security, and economic development in Pakistan and the region.
