Kuwait City, 8 September 2021 (TDI): American Ambassador to Kuwait, Alina Romanowski, indicated that the whole staff of the US Embassy in Kuwait, from consular employees to diplomatic security and medical experts, has played a big part in securely transporting Americans and Afghans from Afghanistan with the assistance of Kuwaiti allies. Romanowski expressed gratitude to US Customs and Border Protection, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Transportation Security Administration, the United States Army, the United States Air Force, and Task Force Spartan for their vital aid.
Secretary Antony Blinken repetitively states that the US is appreciative of its allies and partners. In every aspect, the operation was a worldwide undertaking. Many countries stepped forward to make significant contributions to the airlift, including working alongside them at the airport. Some countries are now acting as transit countries, allowing evacuees to be registered and processed while traveling to their ultimate destinations. Others have promised to permanently relocate Afghan refugees.
