Riyadh, 14 October 2021 (TDI): The Minister of State for African Country Affairs met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in the Kingdom, Ms. Martina Strong.
For over sixty years, the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have enjoyed a fruitful relationship based upon mutual respect and shared interests. In that sense, close consultations have developed on international, economic, and development affairs such as the Middle East peace process and shared interests in the Gulf. As well, it is important to note that the U.S. is Saudi Arabia’s largest trading partner, and Saudi Arabia is the largest U.S. export market in the Middle East.
Hence, at the meeting, the countries review the bilateral relations between them. Moreover, they discussed issues of common interest for regional security, oil exports and imports, and sustainable development.
According to Ms. Strong, the vibrancy of the U.S.-Saudi relationship, based on multifaceted interests in the political, economic, business, and humanitarian fields, remains secure.
