Riyadh, 20 October 2021 (TDI): Saudi Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with the British Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Ms. Elizabeth Truss.
During the conference, they explored strong and historic connections between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. They are looking for opportunities to strengthen them in all areas. As well, they reviewed the efforts to lay the foundation for peace, security, and stability in the Middle East and the world.
The situation in Yemen was also on the agenda. Both countries agreed to reach a political solution that supports the development and stability of the people. Ongoing negotiations on this issue will be added.
This visit is followed by a meeting with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Josep Borrell. That meeting also addressed the issue of Yemen and the importance of reaching a ceasefire as soon as possible.
Likewise, they covered the news on Iran’s nuclear program as a common concern.
