Kyiv, 29 May 2022 (TDI): Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone call with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday.

The President said that it was a regular conversation, during which they discussed bilateral relations with the United Kingdom.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his discussion with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson talked about expanding ties between the two countries in different areas including; Defense, Petroleum, etc.

Moreover, they also stated that now Ukraine and the United Kingdom work together to deal with strategic and development issues. Ukraine’s President also spoke to the British Prime Minister about Ukraine’s largest port blockade by Russia.

Besides, the British Prime Minister assured the Ukrainians of the full support of the United Kingdom in terms of their growth and development. He also mentioned that both countries are now working together with innovative ideas to overcome the challenges that both countries face.

Strengthening ties between people and institutions:

The leaders also talked about wanting to improve bilateral links between the Ukrainian and British people and institutions. The British Prime Minister also highlighted the importance and need for immediate peace in Ukraine.

Similarly, both of them talked about the tool of diplomacy in this modern age. Zelenskyy and the British Premier also discussed the use of this tool to achieve mutual goals and results in the fields of Strategic Communication, Economic Development, and Food Crisis.

Aside from that, they stated they wanted to improve their mechanism to resolve issues related to International Security, Human Rights, and other related issues.

Finally, Ukraine President Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ended the phone call with a commitment to work together. Likewise, they also said to pay attention to cooperating with each other in good and bad times.

So the telephonic conversation between the two leaders ended on a positive note.
