London, 16 September 2021 (TDI): The UK expresses gratitude to Kosovo for temporarily hosting NATO staff.
117 Afghan NATO staff were airlifted out of Kabul and kept temporarily in Kosovo. These Afghan staff members have safely reached London today. The United Kingdom expressed gratitude to Kosovo for hosting these staff members temporarily in their country.
The UK Foreign Ministry stated that it will continue to seek safe passage for those Afghans who are still at risk from the Taliban regime.
