LONDON, (TDI): The UK has strongly criticized North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launches, describing them as violations of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office stated, “North Korea’s ballistic missile launch on January 14 is another breach of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.”
The statement emphasized that such unlawful activities continue to undermine peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
The UK has called on North Korea, officially known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), to cease its provocations and re-engage in dialogue.
The condemnation follows North Korea’s launch of several suspected short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea, also known as the Sea of Japan, as confirmed by South Korea’s military.
