London, 4 September 2021 (TDI): The UK government announced that it will deliver life-saving goods worth £30 million to the Afghan refugees in the neighboring countries.
As hundreds of thousands of people have been affected by the recent crisis in Afghanistan, the British government aims to help them through humanitarian aid. The neighboring countries that have accommodated the Afghan refugees will be provided financial assistance to help these refugees.
Out of this £30 million, £10 million will be given to humanitarian organizations like UNHCR and £20 million will be donated to countries that are hosting refugee inflow.
Foreign Secretary UK, Dominic Raab mentioned that the purpose of this aid is to bring stability to the region.
He further highlighted the importance of these life-saving goods by saying that the number of refugees is likely to increase in the next few months.
