Uganda participated in 2nd China-Africa Economic and trade expo

Changsha, 29 September 2021 (TDI): Uganda took Part in the 2nd China Africa Economic and Trade Expo. The Expo was held from 26th to the 28th of September, in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province in Central China.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. Almost 900 businessmen from nearly 40 African nations including Algeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa attended the three-day event, which was held in both online and offline format. Uganda has also utilized the opportunity to promote the country’s tourism and investment possibilities.

Many African goods and brands were on display, with five specialized areas: the Coffee Exhibition Area, Nut Exhibition Area, Cocoa Exhibition Area, Agricultural and Sideline Product Exhibition Area, and Exports to Africa Exhibition Area.

In June of 2019, the first expo took place. President Museveni was also there, and 10 agreements in the sectors of energy, mining, trade and investment, tourism, agriculture, and other topics were inked.
