Rwanda and Nigeria signed an agreement for establishing a Joint Permanent Commission

Kigali, 29 September 2021 (TDI): The Republic of Rwanda and the Federal Republic of Nigeria signed an agreement for establishing a Joint Permanent Commission. This signing ceremony was held in Kigali, Rwanda on 28th September 2021.

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Zubairu Dada arrived in Kigali on Tuesday. Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vincent Biruta received Zubairu Dada.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, Zubairu Dada, and the state minister of Nigeria Vincent Biruta signed the agreement on behalf of their respective countries.

Rwanda and Nigeria have been enjoying close bilateral relations since Rwanda’s independence in 1962. Both countries maintain strong ties in commerce, investment, and technology. In a broader sense, the major mutual goal is to ensure that the ties increase along with the idea of integration in Africa.
