Abu Dhabi (TDI): The United Arab Emirates said on Saturday it is closely monitoring the latest developments in Yemen and voiced serious concern over the rising tensions in the country.
In an official statement, the UAE called on all Yemeni parties to show restraint and place dialogue at the centre of efforts to preserve security and stability.
Emphasizing the need to reduce tensions, the statement said differences among Yemenis should be addressed through understanding, consensus and sustainable political solutions, rather than confrontation.

It stressed that any approach should be guided by reason and responsibility, with the interests of the Yemeni people and the country’s long-term stability as top priorities.
The UAE reiterated that easing tensions and engaging in constructive dialogue offer the most effective way to overcome the current challenges facing Yemen.

Such an approach, it said, would help lay the foundation for lasting peace and stability, not only in Yemen but across the region, while meeting the aspirations of its people for security and prosperity.
