Dubai, 16 November 2021 (TDI): President of UAE received a written letter from Gambia’s President, Adama Barrow.
The letter is about the two countries bilateral relations. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received the message. Mamadou Tenggara, Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation delivered the letter.
Both sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries throughout the meeting. They also talked about how to improve and broaden cooperative cooperation frameworks in numerous fields.
The two officials also discussed matters of mutual interest as well as events on the regional and international levels. The Gambian Foreign Minister spoke with the UAE’s Foreign Minister about the organization of Expo 2020 Dubai. Both sides discussed the importance to generate promising prospects between both states and build bilateral relations.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Mamadou Tenggara’s visit. He emphasized the desire to improve and expand connections between the two friendly countries in a variety of spheres.
Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, attended the meeting as well. Both sides discussed the possibilities of building relations.
Expo 2021 Dubai
Currently, Dubai is hosting the world’s largest expo with the theme Connecting Minds, Creating the Future including the sub-themes on Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunity. The Expo is focusing on the sustainability segments including governance, employment, industries, and education. The event has started on 1 October and will continue till 31st March 2022. Due to COVID-19, the Expo was delayed but now it’s in full swing this day with country pavilions showcasing the opportunities from the countries. It’s estimated that people from 190 countries are participating and the area that has been allocated to the event is 4.38 kilometers.
