Dubai, 13 November 2021 (TDI): Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the UAE met Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman. The two talked about their strong historical ties as well as strategies to strengthen the frameworks of their bilateral relations. They also discussed a number of subjects of common concern in order to realize the two countries’ common goals.
There was also discussion on regional and international developments.
UAE’s Foreign Minister, emphasized the depth of relations between the UAE and Oman. He emphasized the two countries to develop opportunities for multidimensional cooperation.
Foreign Minister Albusaidi congratulated the UAE’s Foreign Minister on the UAE’s nomination for COP 28. In 2023, the United Arab Emirates will host the Conference of the Parties. This is to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The UAE announced on Thursday that it had won the proposal to host the COP28 meeting in 2023. The United Nations Climate Change Conference is the world’s largest gathering of states and governments to discuss climate challenges. Sheikh Mohammed’s statement comes after the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change recognized the UAE as the host country (UNFCCC). He went on to say that they are excited to welcome the entire world to COP28 and that every nation’s and stakeholder’s voice will be heard.
