U.S Embassy in Ottawa flies US Flag at half-staff

-

Ottawa, 28 August 2021 (TDI): The US Embassy in Ottawa flew the American flag at half-staff to show solidarity with the US servicemen who had died in the Kabul Attack, yesterday.
Several American personnel died at the Kabul Airport during the August 26 attacks. Immediately after the attack, the President of the United States issued Half Staff American Flag Notification. The notification meant that all the US flags at the national offices, military bases, and foreign territories would be flown at half-staff until August 30 in honor of the US servicemen who died in the attack. As it happened in other countries, the US embassy in Ottawa will also keep the American flag at half-staff until sunset of August 30.
