Addis Ababa, 5 October 2021 (TDI): The U.S donated about 1 million Covid-19 vaccine doses to Ethiopia. The vaccine donation arrived in Ethiopia last week.
According to USAID administrator Samantha Power, the U.S donated about 1 million single-dose Covid-19 vaccine shots to Ethiopia. She also reported that including this donation the total vaccine donation by the U.S to Ethiopia is above 2.5 million vaccine shots.
USAID administrator Samantha Power also reported about the support of USAID to Ethiopian people. She stated that USAID is working to improve health services in Ethiopia by training health workers, strengthening testing capacity, and taking measures to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
