Ross Wilson, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, commended Ashraf Ghani, the President of Afghanistan, on his vision for a new Afghanistan. He applauded Afghanistan’s democratic and economic achievements during the last two decades. He praised the new vision of a country free of all forms of terrorism and perpetrator-inflicted violence. A country in which all citizens, particularly women and children, will have equal rights soon.
He added that the United States will continue to support the Afghan government and its people to preserve their gains.
