Punjab: 26th June 2021 (TDI) The campaign that was started in Punjab in the fight against typhoid has been completed today.
Punjab portrays community acceptance of the typhoid vaccine. Today World Health Organization Pakistan announced that the set target has been reached and the efforts of the government of Pakistan have borne fruit. Pakistan has the highest incidence (451.7 per 100,000 persons/year ) of typhoid fever. There were hardworking frontline health workers who worked tirelessly to ensure that children are vaccinated against typhoid. During the second phase of the Typhoid campaign in Punjab, the government of Pakistan has trained more than 5,500 vaccinators on typhoid vaccination with the support of World Health Organization.
