Ashgabat (TDI): In a significant effort to foster global harmony, Turkmenistan has launches neutrality website for the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, emphasizing the necessity of resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
This declaration coincides with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status as a permanently neutral state.
Turkmenistan’s path as a neutral nation began in 1995 when the United Nations officially recognized its permanent neutrality. Over the last three decades, this principle has shaped its foreign policy and led to initiatives aimed at promoting global peace.
To mark these milestones, the Government of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with international organizations, is organizing a series of events throughout 2025. Central to these celebrations is the high-level International Forum “Peace and Trust,” scheduled for December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat.
In preparation for this event, Turkmenistan has launched a multilingual website—available in Turkmen, English, and Russian, to serve as a comprehensive resource for participants and interested parties.
