Ankara (TDI): Türkiye’s government-run scholarship program, Türkiye Burslari, has officially opened applications for 2026, offering Pakistani students a unique opportunity to pursue higher education in one of Europe’s most historic and dynamic countries.
For many Pakistani students, Turkiye already feels like a second home, culturally close, affordable, and welcoming, and this initiative not only provides access to world-class education but also strengthens the already strong friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye.
The scholarships cover associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs at top Turkish universities and provide comprehensive support, including tuition fees, accommodation, monthly stipends, health insurance, airfare, and university placement assistance.
Students also receive a one-year Turkish language course, making it easier to adapt academically and socially while studying in Turkiye. In addition, the program offers cultural, social, and academic facilities, ensuring students receive a holistic educational experience.
Eligible Pakistani applicants must have a strong academic record, typically 70% or above for undergraduate programs, 75% for master’s and PhD programs, and 90% for health sciences courses. Age limits apply; under 21 for bachelor’s programs, under 30 for master’s, and under 35 for PhD programs.

Applicants should prepare essential documents such as academic transcripts, recommendation letters, and language certificates, and submit them through the official Türkiye Burslari portal between 10th January and 20th February 2026.
For Pakistani students, Türkiye Bursları is more than financial support. It offers a platform to gain a world-class education, broaden cultural horizons, and build an international network of peers and future leaders.
The scholarship also emphasizes quality education and research opportunities, with programs spanning engineering, medicine, social sciences, arts, and technology.
Additionally, special programs like Research Scholarships, Success Scholarships, and KATİP provide additional opportunities, though these have separate application periods announced on the official website.
By opening doors for thousands of Pakistani students to study in Turkiye, the Türkiye Burslari program fosters not only individual academic growth but also deeper academic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, paving the way for long-term collaboration and mutual understanding between the two friendly nations.
