Beirut, 4 October 2021 (TDI): The Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi met with the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Baris Ulusoy. The meeting was held in the office of the Ministry.
The meeting revolved around issues related to the bilateral relations between the two countries. The diplomatic relations between Turkey and Lebanon are of a historic nature since Lebanon gained independence from Ottoman Syria. Turkey has been giving aid to Lebanon for a long, but most specifically since the 2006 Lebanon War. Ever since the relationship between the two has gained momentum. In addition to that, Turkey also lent aid to Lebanon when the latter was afflicted by the energy crisis.
The Turkish Ambassador also met with MPs Eddy Maalouf, Othman Alameddine, and Hadi Hobeich, during his visit. Development-related affairs related to their districts were also touched upon.
