Ankara, 11 August 2021 (TDI): President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke over the phone with President Macky Sall of Senegal on Wednesday. The two sides highlighted regional issues and discussed ways to expand Turkey-Senegal relations.
Erdogan expressed his gratitude to his Senegalese counterpart who had sympathized and shown solidarity over the devastating forest fires in Turkey. He then affirmed Turkey’s continued support to Senegal for its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
