Phnom Penh, 2 October 2021 (TDI): Due to the pandemic situation, the 6th virtual Technical session of ICC- Preah Vihear was held in Sofitel Phokeethra in the city of Phnom Penh. The session took place on 29 September 2021, for the development of Preah Vihear. The representatives of 47 countries have participated in the virtual meeting including, China, India, Thailand, United States, Belgium, Japan, France, and Germany.
The Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Phoeurun Sackona also attended that virtual conference along with representatives of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The meeting was chaired by Chinese Ambassador, Hu Jian, the Culture and Communications and Information of Chinese National Commission for UNESCO and, Devyani Uttam Khobrangabe, the Indian Ambassador to Cambodia.
The representatives of the International community discussed the devastating condition of Preah Vihear and how the COVID-19 has several affected this site, and they emphasized taking such measures which ensure the safety of this place.
