Baghdad, 20 September 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of Iraq to Cairo, Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, met the Egyptian minister of higher education, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. The visit took place at the ministry of headquarters. The purpose of the official visit was to create developments in education sectors between both countries.
The ambassador of Iraq to Cairo said that they need to improve the educational opportunities with Egypt and must enhance the number of students of Iraq studying in Egypt. The meeting discussed the issues of scientific cooperation between Iraq and Egypt as well. During the meeting, the problems that are Iraqi students are facing in Egypt were talked over. The minister asked to create collaborations in the cultural, scientific, research, give scholarships and training between Iraq and Egypt.
In the end, both leaders talked about giving scholarships to Iraqi students studying in Egypt at the Masters, Ph.D. level.
