Karachi, 17 November 2021 (TDI): Thai Ambassador, Chakkrid Krachaiwong met with the Chancellor of Binoria University International, Sheikh Noman Naeem.

During the meeting, Ambassador Chakkrid thanked the Chancellor of the Binoria University International for the support offered to Thai students. He also congratulated Chancellor Noman on the recent accreditation of the university to Pakistan Higher Education.

The two also discussed potential academic collaboration. Collaboration with Thai universities in the coming year will be mutually advantageous.

The Thai delegation also met with Thai students studying at the university. The experience that they will acquire from Pakistan will benefit Thai society in the long run.

The Ambassador met with the lecturers and senior officials of the university as well. He was accompanied by the acting Consul General, Paoyee Waesahmae, and other Thai diplomats.

Thailand and Pakistan established diplomatic relations in 1951, with this year marking their 70th anniversary. Pakistan and Thailand cooperate in a multitude of fields; economic, political, security, trade, investment, and cultural spheres.

University Officials with Thai Delegates

The relations between the two have consistently grown over the years. The strong ties between the two partners stem from shared principles and mutual interests. Pakistan and Thailand are both significant because of their strategic locations; in their respective regions. Recently the two decided to enhance cultural cooperation and museum exchange program.

Almost 600 Thai students are studying in Madrassah schools and prestigious universities of Pakistan. Thailand also maintains a student association based in Islamabad. Several Thai students are studying at the International Islamic University of Islamabad as well.
