The Prime Minister of Pakistan congratulated the Saudi Crown Prince on the successful fulfillment of Hajj Operations. Both leaders also exchanged Eid greetings.
More to this, the Prime Minister thanked both the Saudi leadership as well as the government for taking care of Hajj Pilgrims especially those from Pakistan.
Both sides agreed to increase cooperation in trade and investment. Furthermore, they discussed bilateral initiatives and projects. Also, both leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in different sectors.
Most importantly, Pakistan’s Prime Minister highlighted the strong foundations of bilateral relations between both countries.
They agreed in working closely to implement the decisions made during the Prime Minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia in April. Therefore, Sharif reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan and he accepted.

The Prime Minister’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was a three-day visit. The visit reflected the two nations’ longstanding historical connections and fraternal relations.
In line with the visit, Prime Minister Sharif joined the Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and a high-level team as well.
Therefore, the talks focused on “advancing economic, trade and investment ties and creation of greater opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Saudi Arabia”.
At the time, the Prime Minister highlighted that the visit will add in affirming and renewing ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia recognized Pakistan after its independence in 1947. In line with this, Pakistan has enjoyed relations with Saudi Arabia since the birth of the country, that is, in 1947.
Relations between the two countries are rooted in the old religious, cultural, and commercial links. In addition, the relationship is also founded on shared Islamic ideals. Quran and Sunnah play an important role in the constitutional framework of both countries.
Above all, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have also succeeded in developing a unique synergy for mutual development.
