Baku, 1 September 2021 (TDI): A telephonic conversation took place between the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister congratulated Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on his appointment as new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran and wished him success in his work. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister also invited his Iranian counterpart to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan. Both sides exchanged views on the current regional situation and bilateral cooperation in different areas of mutual interests.
The principle of Friendship between Azerbaijan and Iran has deep historical and ideological roots, which needs to be continued.
